Prof. Dr. JOVAN VLADIĆ

Prof. dr. Jovan Vladic, head of LECAD labratory in Novi SadDr. Jovan Vladić is a full time professor at the Faculty of technical sciences in Novi Sad. He is the chief of the Chair for machine constructions, transporting systems and logistics, director of the Institute for Mechanization and construction engineering and coordinator of Departments for mechanical engineering at the FTN. He graduated at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Novi Sad in 1974. He made his master exam in 1982. He made his doctor thesis “Development of calculational methods for the analysis of static and dynamic ropeway behavior" at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in 1989. After graduation and his military service, he got employed in 1975. at the Faculty of technical sciences in Novi Sad where he is still employed. He was chosen to be a full time professor in 1999. for the scientific field of machine constructions, transporting systems and logistics.

Within the basic (bachelor) and diploma (master) studies at the Faculty of technical sciences, within the study programme for Mechanization and construction engineering, he teaches following subjects: Computer aided design, Practicum CAD/CAE, Automated design, Design of mobile machines, Basics of transporting machines, Continuous and automated transport. Within the study programme for Mechatronics he teaches the subject Systems for transport and handling and some modules in the subject Graphic communications and CAD, while within the study programme for Traffic engineering he teaches Reloading logistics. Within the master and doctor studies, he is in charge for the following subjects: Modern methods for structure analysis (CAE), Modern methods for design and construction (CAD), Chosen chapters in the field of transport and civil-engineering machines. Until now, he mentored five master theses and three doctor theses. He also mentored many diploma works and was a member of numerous commissions for oral exam of master and doctor theses. In the past time, within the specialist, master and doctor studies he was in charge for the subjects: Contemporary methods of structure analysis, Contemporary design methods, Projecting of mechanical structures and Chosen chapters in transporting and civil engineering machines.

He published 147 scientific and technical articles in magazines and at scientific conferences and symposiums at national and international levels. He participated in the elaboration of 24 scientific research projects and was the project leader for two projects financed through the Serbian Ministry of science. He was a project leader for 46 projects for the industry and he participated at the elaboration of 122 further projects.

He is the president of a programme committee for international symposium "CONSTRUCTION, SHAPE-GIVING AND DESIGN" and the member of several programme or scientific committees of scientific meetings in Serbia. He is a reviser for the periodical „Transaction“ at the Faculty of mechanical engineering in Belgrade. He published two scientific monographs, three university textbooks and four helping textbooks. For the purpose of specialization he spent three months in 1983 at ETH Cirih and in 1985 at TU Wien, and in 1986 he made study stay in a factory "Austria-Draht", in 1988 at TU Darmstadt, in 2007 at TU Wien and TU Graz, and in 2008 at TU Dresden. Until now he mentored 5 master theses and three doctor theses. His fields of dealing are projecting and development of mechanical structures, computer aided design, transporting technique and systems, dynamical analysis of machines and devices. He is a member of Association for mechanical structures ADECO, of several committees of Institute for standardization (Continuous transport, elevators and escalators, steel ropes,…). He is a member of Serbian Chamber of mechanical engineers and is licensed as a responsible projectant under the Nr. 333233803.
