LECAD II Zenica - Engineering Design Laboratory
Many years of collaboration between the Laboratory LECAD Ljubljana and the Mechanical Engineering Faculty at University of Zenica, resulted in forming of the Laboratory LECAD II Zenica in the year 2004. Executiv head of this Laboratory is Ass.Prof. Dr. Senad Balic.
Main Laboratory tasks include:
- Pedagogic work in many fields such as: CAD/CAM/CAE, Informatics, Programming, Computer simulations, PDM/PLM systems;
- Research and applying numerical methods in the proces of engineering design as well as solving many engineering problems;
- Creating 3D models and programs for CNC machines;
- Industrial design;
- Studying and analyzing humans in the simulated workplaces;
- Organization of seminars on subjects of applying PDM/PLM systems with the assistance of native and foreign experts;
Thanks to good collaboration with Unigraphics company, this Laboratory became its techinal support for region of BiH.

- Design of Centrifugal Turbopumps by Numerical Analysis of Entire Flowing Tract;
- Differential Form of Basic Profile Coupling Equations applied to Operative Elements of Gerotor Pumps;
- Computer Aided Design Method for Hollow-Jet Valve Flowing Tract;
- Research of a System for Adding of Oxigen in Pools for Fish Farms;
- Research on Finding the Optimal Model of Technical Informacion System (PDMS) for Small and Middle Production Factories at Region of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- Analysis of the Processes in the Production System of UNIS-PRETIS NIS d.d. and Selection of the Best Software Solutions for Technical Information System.
