SMITER
- Main uses at ITER Organisation:
- Power deposition mapping for first wall and divertor plasma-facing components
- Input to control algorithms and production of synthetic surface temperatures for diagnostic design
- Will become the standard such tool at IO and released for use (through IMAS) for all ITER Partners.
- GUI framework and CAD integration
- Uses the SMARDDA kernel for field line tracing
- Thoroughly benchmarked against the CEA field line following code PFCFLUX
